Roofing Sales Representative / Business Development
Dad Exteriors | Chicago, IL
Job Type: Full-time Location: Chicago, IL — Field-Based Compensation: Competitive base + uncapped commission, based on experience and results
Sell Roofs. Build Relationships. Make Serious Money.
Dad Exteriors is a growing Chicago roofing and exterior home improvement company. We're building something different in an industry that desperately needs it.
Better communication. Better customer experiences. Better workmanship. Dad Standards™.
We're looking for an ambitious, experienced salesperson who knows how to create opportunities, build relationships, and close business.
This is not a position where you sit around waiting for leads.
We're looking for someone who wants to get out in the field, meet homeowners, generate business, and take ownership of their results.
If you're a natural closer who enjoys the hunt, we'd like to meet you.
What You'll Do

Prospect and generate new roofing opportunities throughout Chicago.

Build relationships with homeowners, real estate professionals, property managers, and referral partners.

Conduct initial customer consultations and identify roofing needs.

Present estimates and proposals, overcome objections, and close deals.

Follow up consistently with prospects and existing customers.

Develop referral business and long-term customer relationships.

Manage your opportunities and sales pipeline through our CRM.

Coordinate with our production team to ensure a smooth customer handoff.

Represent Dad Exteriors with professionalism, confidence, and integrity.

Who We're Looking For

Proven experience in sales, preferably roofing, windows, siding, construction, or home improvement.

A self-starter who doesn't need someone telling them what to do every morning.

Comfortable prospecting, cold calling, networking, and generating their own leads.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Confident presenting and closing high-ticket projects.

Organized, accountable, and comfortable using CRM software.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Someone who takes pride in the customer experience, not just getting the signature.

Most importantly: You have the drive to build your own pipeline and the discipline to follow through.
What We Offer

Competitive compensation with uncapped earning potential.

An established local brand with a differentiated approach to roofing.

Company-generated opportunities alongside your own prospecting efforts.

Sales tools, estimating support, and production coordination.

Opportunity to grow into a sales leadership role as the business expands.

A founder-led company where performance gets noticed and rewarded.

Why Dad Exteriors?
We're not trying to be another roofing company chasing the lowest price.
Our customers hire us because they want confidence in the people working on their homes. We bring decades of construction experience, a professional process, and a commitment to doing things right.
We're building our sales team around people who share that mindset.
If you can sell, prospect, and take ownership of your results, there's an opportunity here to build something meaningful.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and briefly answer these three questions:

What have you sold, and what were your approximate annual sales results?

How do you generate new business when the company isn't providing leads?

Why do you think you'd be successful selling roofing in Chicago?
