Roofing Sales Representative, Commission

Soltera Roofing is a veteran-owned roofing company in Beltsville. We are hiring insurance sales reps. Before you apply, here is what the job actually is.

THIS IS HARD.

You will knock about 60 doors a day, five days a week. In August when it is 95 degrees. In January when your hands are frozen. Most people will not answer. Most who do will say no in the first eight seconds. You will hear no more in a week than most people hear in a year.

THERE IS NO SALARY.

This is 1099, commission only.

Month one is lean.

Month two gets better.

Month three is usually when real money shows up, because insurance pays in 30 to 60 days. We are telling you now so you do not find out in week six.

YOU WILL BE ON ROOFS.

Two stories, up a ladder. You inspect every roof yourself. If heights are a problem, this is not the job.

Sales experience helps. It is not required.

YOU NEED

• A reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license

• A smartphone

• To climb a ladder and walk a roof safely

• The ability to work some evenings and Saturdays
