We’re seeking an experienced roofing professional whose primary responsibility will be attending properties to accurately measure and assess roofs for insurance repair and replacement works.

You’ll conduct detailed site measurements, identify roofing materials and construction requirements, document site conditions and provide accurate information to support our estimating and project delivery teams.

The role may also involve assisting with the coordination of roofing crews, monitoring works in progress and acting as a key link between our trades, office team and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend residential, commercial and industrial properties to accurately measure roofs for repair and replacement works
• Complete detailed roof take-offs, including measurements, roof profiles, materials, pitches and associated components
• Identify existing roofing materials, damage, access requirements and potential site constraints
• Capture clear photographs and prepare accurate site notes for the estimating and operations teams
• Confirm measurements and specifications before materials are ordered
• Review scopes of work and identify discrepancies, omissions or potential variations
• Liaise with the office, estimators, suppliers, clients and subcontractors as required
• Conduct progress and quality inspections on active roofing projects
• Assist with coordinating roofing crews, materials and daily site activities
• Ensure all site activities comply with WHS requirements and Platinum’s safety standards
• Report promptly on project delays, safety concerns, defects and other site issues

About You

• Proven experience as a Roofing Supervisor, Senior Roofer, Leading Hand or experienced roof measurer
• Strong knowledge of metal roofing systems, insurance repairs and complete roof replacements
• Demonstrated ability to accurately measure roofs and prepare detailed material take-offs
• Ability to identify roof profiles, materials, pitches, flashings, drainage components and access requirements
• Confidence reviewing scopes of work and identifying discrepancies or missing items
• Ability to read plans, interpret specifications and assess site logistics
• Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping and site documentation
• Good understanding of WHS, working-at-heights and construction compliance requirements
• Clear communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with clients, trades and office staff
• Ability to work independently, manage appointments and travel between multiple sites
• Construction White Card (mandatory)
• Current unrestricted driver’s licence (mandatory)
• Working at Heights certification (preferred)
• EWP licence or ticket (preferred)
