Position: Room Attendant
Department: Housekeeping
Location: Hotel Annamalai Grand
Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper

Job Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining guest rooms and assigned areas in a clean, hygienic, organized, and presentable condition while ensuring a high standard of guest comfort and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned areas.
• Make beds, change bed linen, towels, and other room amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitize rooms and bathrooms thoroughly.
• Replenish toiletries, drinking water, and other guest supplies.
• Check rooms for cleanliness, damages, and maintenance issues.
• Report lost and found items, maintenance problems, and room defects immediately.
• Follow hotel cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and safety guidelines.
• Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
• Respect guest privacy and hotel property at all times.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and supplies in an organized manner.
• Coordinate with the Front Office and Housekeeping Supervisor regarding room status.
• Respond politely and professionally to reasonable guest requests.
• Complete assigned rooms within the required time while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

• Previous hotel/housekeeping experience preferred.
• Freshers may also be considered based on suitability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform housekeeping duties.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Honest, punctual, responsible, and customer-oriented.
