Room Attendant

Position Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and public areas in accordance with brand standards and hotel procedures. This position plays a key role in ensuring guest satisfaction by providing a consistently high level of cleanliness and service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms daily, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures
• Replenish guest room amenities such as towels, toiletries, coffee supplies, and linens
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance issues, and lost-and-found items; report concerns promptly to management
• Follow brand standards and hotel procedures for room setup and cleanliness
• Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas in a clean and organized manner
• Properly use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety guidelines
• Assist with cleaning public areas (hallways, stairwells, laundry room) as assigned
• Respond courteously to guest requests and report guest concerns to the supervisor
• Adhere to hotel safety, security, and confidentiality policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to push/pull housekeeping carts
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Work Schedule

• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
