Overview

Hiring for for Evening Shift. Shifts are generally 4pm-10pm,, so later on busier dates.

Cleaning of hotel common / banquet areas, processing laundry , cleaning guest rooms when needed. Training will be done on day shift.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
• Handle laundry operations efficiently by washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care and precision.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and chemical sprayers safely and effectively.
• Use appropriate chemical agents for cleaning and sanitation while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines to ensure a safe environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas including hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other designated spaces through regular floor care and janitorial practices.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Handle heavy lifting tasks related to laundry loads or cleaning equipment with proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury.
• Provide friendly customer service by addressing guest requests promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly desirable; familiarity with hotel housekeeping management is a plus.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and hotel emergency procedures is preferred.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely by understanding chemical handling protocols and SDS documentation.
• Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks associated with laundry or equipment movement.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Good physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout shifts; ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
