Housekeeping Room Inspector / Housekeeper

Holiday Inn Express & Suites – Sheldon, IA

Position: Part-Time
Schedule: Every other weekend, 1–2 days per week as a Housekeeper, and some holidays.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to inspect guest rooms for cleanliness and hotel standards while also assisting with housekeeping duties. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works efficiently, and helps ensure a positive guest experience.

Essential Duties

• Inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and surfaces.
• Change linens, replace towels, and restock amenities.
• Vacuum and mop floors as needed.
• Identify cleanliness and maintenance issues and report them promptly.
• Update room statuses in the hotel computer system.
• Assist and support housekeeping staff as needed.
• Respond to guest requests courteously and professionally.
• Maintain organized work areas and follow safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping and customer service experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability every other weekend, 1–2 additional days per week, and some holidays.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
