Room Leader

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Early Years Practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their career and lead one of our nursery rooms.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of their room, leading and supporting a small team to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the day-to-day running of the room and supporting the staff team.

• Providing high-quality learning opportunities through play, in line with the EYFS.

• Supporting and guiding staff in their understanding and implementation of the EYFS.

• Organising the room and deploying staff effectively throughout the day.

• Supporting staff with planning, observations and identifying children's next steps.

• Ensuring activities and the environment reflect children's individual interests, needs and stages of development.

• Supporting children with SEN and adapting provision to meet individual needs.

• Building positive and professional relationships with parents and carers.

• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and overall practice.

• Working closely with the management team to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.

• Being a positive role model and helping to create a happy, supportive and enthusiastic team environment.

We are looking for someone who is confident, organised, approachable and passionate about Early Years, with the ability to bead by example and support others to deliver excellent care and education.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
