Room Leader

An exciting oppotunity to be part of a growing nursery group with a passion to provide high quality childcare in a warm and friendly environment.

We are seeking a Room Leader who will work with the nursery Managers to support the day to day running of the day nursery. This position offers an opportunity to work within a nurturing environment, contributing to the development and well-being of children while supporting in leading a small team of staff members. The room leader will assist the Managers in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a positive, engaging atmosphere for children, parents, and staff alike.

Duties

• Assist the Managers in overseeing day to day operations.
• Support the planning and implementation of activities to support the development of the children in the setting.
• Supervise and motivate nursery staff, promoting teamwork and professional development
• Maintain strong communication with parents regarding children's progress and centre activities
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and childcare legislation
• Contribute to creating a welcoming environment that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive development
• Support a group of key children being able to track development and report to the SENCo if you have any concerns.

Skills

• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively
• Extensive knowledge of EYFS and childcare legislation
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and planning

Pay: £14.30-£14.60 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
