JOB SUMMARY

The Room Service Server delivers in-room dining to guests at the property with warmth, accuracy, and attention to presentation. This role sets up and delivers orders to guest rooms, ensures quality and completeness, and provides discreet, gracious service. The Room Service Server contributes directly to guest satisfaction and the property's reputation for personalized service. Working closely with the kitchen and room service team, this position ensures a seamless in-room experience.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Language requirements are confirmed by property at the time of posting.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification as required by the applicable jurisdiction.

• Ability to serve alcohol responsibly and verify guest age in accordance with applicable law and property policy.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on occupancy.

• Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous room service or fine dining experience.

• Bilingual ability appropriate to the property's guests.

• Familiarity with point of sale systems.

FUNDAMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Set up and deliver in-room dining orders accurately and attractively.

• Verify order completeness, quality, and presentation before delivery.

• Provide gracious, discreet in-room service and setup.

• Verify guest age and serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with law and policy.

• Process charges and obtain signatures accurately.

• Retrieve trays and tables promptly from guest floors.

• Communicate timing and special requests with the kitchen.

• Maintain cleanliness and stock of the room service area.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety standards.

• Respond to guest requests courteously and promptly.

• Perform other duties as requested by management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Stand, walk, and move throughout the property for the majority of a shift.

• Push and maneuver room service tables and carts.

• Lift and carry trays and items up to 40 pounds.

• Frequently bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions.

• Move between buildings with exposure to outdoor heat and sun consistent with the property's climate.
