Rooms Controller

Position Summary: The Front Office Room Controller and Administrator plays a crucial role in managing room assignments, optimizing occupancy, and supporting the front office operations with administrative tasks. This hybrid role supports the daily operations of the front office, including room management and administrative support for the department. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth room assignments, emails enquiry/troubleshooting and documentation. This position is to enhance the guest and staff experience through organized and professional service which supports the front desk team with accurate room inventory and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily room assignments and allocations to optimize occupancy and revenue.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure room readiness.
• Monitor overbooking and assigning of Groups/Company/Flight Delay arrival, Out of Service/Order rooms, and special guest requests.
• Handle administrative tasks such as emails (Reception and Duty Manager), email troubleshooting, reports, billings, and communication logs.
• Monitoring Upselling and ensure submission to finance department timely.
• Collaborate with the reservations, housekeeping, and sales departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Maintain up-to-date room status and guest profiles in the Property Management System (PMS).
• Provide full administrative support to the Front Office Manager.
• Help track inventory or supplies related to the front office and prepare requisitions when needed.
• Assist with compiling front office reports such as occupancy stats, staff rosters, and guest feedback summaries.

Ensure compliance with hotel policies, SOP, and safety regulations.
