Rope Access Technician

This is a multi-region role, splitting your time between Christchurch/Canterbury and Auckland areas according to work availability, so there is quite a bit of travel (including overnight stays) involved each month. Due to the nature of the work we do, you can also be required to travel for work in other regions of New Zealand for short durations.

You need:

• Good health - you must be fit and strong, with no medical conditions that would prevent you working in a physical job
• Great work ethic with a drive to succeed
• Solid character - Integrity is a must

You must have:

• IRATA Level 1 qualification, or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months rope access experience following qualification
• A minimum of First Aid (NZQA 6400, 6401, and 6402) or equivalent
• A 3M Inspection & Certification qualification, or equivalent
• Ability to drive legally in New Zealand

As part of your contract, we guarantee a minimum of 70 hours per fortnight, but our employees are usually given 40 hours per week. This can be between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday, or between 6pm and 2am Monday to Thursday night (until 2am Friday morning). We will make every effort to both let you know at least one week in advance of each new roster. When you are travelling for work, Cityside will organise accommodation for you in most instances, and will reimburse you for reasonable work-related travel expenses upon production of appropriate GST receipts.
