What they need
Where experienced techs go further.
Highpoint Access & Rescue's refined standard operating procedures, experienced leadership and cutting-edge technology give rope access technicians the structure, support and ongoing development to keep building a long-term career.
Are you a Level 3 Rope Access Lead Technician or Specialist ready for a role where your experience actually matters?
Highpoint Access & Rescue is growing fast, and we're looking for senior technicians ready to lead high-end projects, mentor skilled crews, and deliver outstanding results across some of the most dynamic work environments in QLD and NSW.
We're recruiting for permanent full-time, positions as well as casuals. You'll be based locally (or willing to relocate to) in or around Rockhampton, with flexibility to travel as required.
Why Highpoint Access & Rescue?
We're not just another access company — we're the team that gets called when a job is too complex, too technical, or too remote for anyone else. We take on the complex and make it simple.
As a global leader in advanced rope access, precision rigging, rescue operations and specialist training, we set the standard others follow — built on a culture of innovation, professionalism and continuous improvement, and a genuine commitment to quality, safety and our people.
Why join us
- Genuine permanent, full-time employment if that's what you seek, otherwise casual employment is also an option.
- Senior-level opportunities for IRATA/SPRAT (or equivalent) Level 3 professionals
- Leadership pathways across operations, training and project management
- A high-performance culture where your experience is respected
- Competitive rates and performance-based rewards
- Long-term job security in a rapidly expanding business
- Unique travel opportunities, including projects accessed by our own aircraft
- Strong safety culture and commitment to a safe working environment
About the role
As a Level 3 Lead Technician or Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in:
- Leading complex rope access operations
- Supervising multi-skill crews across QLD and NSW
- Overseeing rigging, rescue planning and compliance
- Delivering high-level inspections, maintenance and technical support
- Supporting specialist work scopes including NDT, welding, confined space and industrial maintenance
No two jobs look the same, and that's the point. If you thrive on challenge, adventure, variety and responsibility, you'll fit right in.
What we're looking for
- IRATA / SPRAT Level 3 certification
- Completion of a relevant trade qualification
- Minimum 3+ years' rope access leadership experience
- Proven leadership capability, with strong communication and problem-solving skills across a diverse workforce
- A humble, grounded approach and genuine team-first mindset
- A proactive, driven attitude with a hunger for continuous development
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to read people and situations effectively
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to support, mentor and elevate others
