Position: Permanent, Full-Time (Guaranteed Hours)

Earnings: £15.59/hr basic | £19.49/hr Overtime

Keep the Country Moving with Panda Panda Waste is a leading waste management provider dedicated to driving sustainability forward. We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 RoRo (Roll-on Roll-off) Driver to join our busy Birmingham depot.

Operating out of our local site, you will be responsible for the safe delivery, collection, and tipping of roll-on roll-off containers across commercial and industrial sites using our modern fleet. This is a hands-on role for a professional driver who takes pride in safe driving, efficient hook-lift operation, and excellent customer service.

What You’ll Be Doing

• RoRo & Vehicle Operation: Safely operate Class 2 hook-lift vehicles to deliver, swap, collect, and empty RoRo containers across commercial customer sites.
• Sheeting & Site Safety: Ensure all containers are properly loaded, balanced, and securely sheeted before transport.
• Service Delivery: Complete daily scheduled routes efficiently while maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe environment at customer locations.
• Digital Systems: Accurately record job details, collection data, and consignment notes using an on-board tablet.
• Compliance & Defect Reporting: Conduct thorough daily walk-round checks, report vehicle defects promptly, and strictly adhere to EU drivers' hours and road transport regulations.
• Customer Service: Act as an ambassador for Panda Waste, maintaining a polite and professional manner on site.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern

• Days: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts on a rotational basis.
• Start Times: 04:00AM

What We’re Looking For

• Licence & Qualifications: Valid UK Category C licence, up-to-date Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph card.
• Compliance Mindset: Strong knowledge of driver hours, tachograph regulations, and safe load distribution.
• Local Knowledge: Good geographical awareness of Birmingham and the surrounding West Midlands routes.
• Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and flexibility for rotational weekend support.
