ROTATING EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Rotating Equipment Technician to work closely with and assist our Rotating Engineer in the maintenance, troubleshooting and operation of rotating equipment across our mining and mineral processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

 - Assist the Rotating Engineer in daily equipment inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Support the installation, servicing and repair of pumps, motors, gearboxes, crushers, ball mills, conveyors and other rotating equipment.

• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance.

• Identify mechanical faults and report abnormalities promptly.

• Assist in breakdown maintenance and equipment recovery.

• Maintain basic maintenance records and work reports.

• Follow site safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping.

• Work closely with the Rotating Engineer and Operations Team.

Requirements

 - Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology or related field.

• 3–5 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in mining, quarrying or mineral processing.

• Practical knowledge of rotating equipment and mechanical troubleshooting.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Responsible, disciplined and safety-conscious.

• Willing to work at mining and processing sites.
