Host Coffee, a Midwest leader in vending, micro-market, coffee, and water services, is excited to offer an entry-level Route Driver in Training position based in Omaha. This role is designed for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow into a full-fledged Route Driver position while gaining hands-on warehouse training. Key Responsibilities

Route Training:

• Shadow and assist experienced Route Drivers in servicing 20–30 customer locations daily, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Learn to operate handheld devices and computer programs to accurately record data and track inventory.
• Assist with stocking, rotating, and merchandising products at customer locations, using the FIFO system.
• Develop the ability to evaluate and address customer needs and requests to enhance location success.
• Understand and apply workplace safety protocols while performing physical tasks like lifting and carrying heavy objects.

Warehouse Training:

• Prepare and stage vending machine and coffee service orders for the following day based on specified quantities of multiple products (beverages, snacks, frozen/refrigerated foods, coffee items).
• Accurately and efficiently pick inventory from warehouse shelves and organize products into pallets or totes.
• Unload and verify deliveries using accompanying paperwork.
• Maintain food and beverage sanitation standards in all work areas and tasks.
• Analyze product usage and collaborate with drivers and management to ensure appropriate quantities and products are selected.
• Fulfill end-of-day responsibilities to ensure all orders are staged for the next day.
• Keep the work area and warehouse clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for learning and adapting in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Ability to start early (6:00 AM) and work flexible hours based on business needs.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and twist with weights up to 85 lbs., and exert up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Valid driver’s license meeting state requirements and willingness to complete drug screening, background checks, and Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) screening.
• Previous experience in retail, grocery, or warehouse settings is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
