Route Planner

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Plan and optimize daily delivery and collection routes based on shipment volume, customer requirements, and delivery schedules.

2. Assign vehicles and drivers according to route requirements, vehicle capacity, and operational efficiency.

3. Coordinate with warehouse, dispatch, customer service, and transport teams to ensure smooth transportation operations.

4. Prepare and maintain daily route plans, dispatch schedules, and transportation reports.

5. Monitor transportation costs, fuel consumption, toll expenses, and route productivity.

6. Maintain accurate transportation records, delivery logs, and route performance data.

7. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, vehicle utilization, mileage, and fuel efficiency.

8. Handle route changes, emergency deliveries, and operational disruptions promptly.

9. Analyze traffic conditions, road restrictions, and weather updates to minimize delivery delays.

10. Ensure compliance with company safety policies, transportation regulations, and government requirements.

Job Specifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, business, or a related field is an advantage.
2. At least 2–3 years of experience in transportation planning, logistics, dispatching, or fleet operations.
3. Ability to provide clear instructions and handle difficult conversations professionally.
4. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
5. Experience using ERP, TMS, or fleet management software.
6. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
