Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks and vehicles to deliver products across assigned routes, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients professionally, building rapport, and addressing their needs effectively
• Assist with merchandising and product placement at retail stores, ensuring proper display and inventory management
• Conduct heavy lifting using safe lifting practices to load and unload merchandise, maintaining organizational efficiency
• Manage route driving schedules efficiently, making adjustments as needed to meet delivery deadlines
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times, delays, or issues that arise during route execution
• Support upselling efforts by informing customers about additional products or services that meet their needs

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving and route delivery operations
• Strong knowledge of pricing strategies and sales techniques to enhance customer interactions
• Excellent math skills for accurate measurement, calculations, and inventory management
• Ability to build lasting customer relationships through effective communication and professional demeanor
• Familiarity with automobile transportation regulations and safe lifting practices for heavy items
• Retail store experience is a plus, especially in merchandising or client-facing roles
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple stops efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Effective communication skills for clear client communication and coordination with team members
• Basic understanding of sales principles, upselling techniques, and client relationship building
