Employees are paid at an hourly rate plus time and one-half for overtime hours worked.

Schedule

Work weeks can vary from 5-8 hour days to 4-10 hour days for the employee’s regular schedule.

Vogel Disposal Service, Inc. is seeking qualified Route Supervisor for our waste hauling and disposal company.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and adjust routing as needed.

• Communicate to and instruct drivers and throwers on a daily basis.

• Provide back up to the drivers and throwers as needed.

• Maintain a courteous and cordial manner with all employees, management, vendors, and customers encountered on the route.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 1 year of management experience in a similar position or related field.

• High degree of proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.

• Strong interpersonal, oral communication, and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

• Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure.

• Must pass a DOT medical exam and drug screen.

• Must keep DOT medical card in good standing.

• Subject to yearly MVRs.

• Employees must provide their own safety-approved work boots.

• Class A or Class B CDL preferred.

• Working knowledge of the waste industry is a plus but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, lift/carry required.

• The ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs. is required.

• This job is performed in and out of the truck. Employees are subject to weather elements daily; i.e. heat, sun, rain, snow, wind, etc.
