We are seeking a skilled RPG Programmer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development and maintenance of robust business applications. Key Objectives

• Develop, maintain, and enhance RPG-based applications to support business operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability through proactive troubleshooting and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug RPG programs in accordance with business requirements.
• Maintain and update existing RPG applications, ensuring compatibility with current systems.
• Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional specifications.
• Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Document code changes and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support integration efforts with other systems and platforms.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to RPG programming and IBM i environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an RPG Programmer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of RPG IV (ILE RPG) and familiarity with RPG III is a plus.
• Experience working on IBM i (AS/400) systems.
• Understanding of database concepts, particularly DB2.
• Ability to write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
