The Role

The team..

The Record to Report (RTR) Group and Shared team operates at the core of Finance Operations, taking responsibility for financial data integrity, central balance sheet accuracy, and reporting alignment across ITV. Operating in a digital-first, collaborative shared services environment, our team works closely with project stakeholders and financial controllers to clean, standardise, and reconcile complex transactional data to support business transformation initiatives and maintain robust financial controls.

The role..

We’re looking for an RTR Data Cleanse Specialist to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis. Reporting directly to the Lead Divisional Accountant, you will provide detailed data analysis and data cleansing expertise across key central accounting areas, including Fixed Assets, Capital in Progress (CIP), and divisional balance sheet reconciliations.

In this hands-on analytical position, you will directly execute data cleansing routines, investigate and correct Cross-Validation Errors (CVEs), and resolve data discrepancies across sub-systems. You will also document updated standard operating procedures and data maintenance guidelines to ensure sustainable, long-term data integrity across Group and Shared entities.

Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Directly executing data cleansing routines and reconciliations across the Group and Shared divisions in line with project requirements.
  • Identifying, investigating, and correcting cross-validation errors (CVEs) across Group & Shared entities alongside the Lead Divisional Accountant.
  • Performing granular, detailed reconciliations across Fixed Assets, Capital in Progress (CIP), and central balance sheet accounts.
  • Analysing and resolving data discrepancies across sub-systems to ensure data quality supports external and internal financial reporting.
  • Documenting updated data maintenance procedures and Standard Operating Guidelines (SOPs) to safeguard data integrity post-project.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to accounting standards, internal control frameworks, and data protection requirements.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to drive continuous process improvements and enhance overall operational performance.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Part-Qualified, Qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE) accountant.
  • Proven experience as a Data Cleanse Specialist, Data Analyst, or Data Quality Analyst within a corporate environment.
  • Proven track record in data profiling, master data management, and complex financial data reconciliations (including Fixed Assets and CIP).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and high-level analytical capabilities for processing large volumes of complex data.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to deliver high-calibre results efficiently and at pace.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adept at influencing stakeholders, navigating challenges, and resolving confrontation constructively.
  • Highly resilient, quick to learn, and comfortable managing ambiguity, organisational change, and tight deadlines under pressure.

Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)

  • Direct experience with Oracle ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience working through significant organisational transformation or operating within a Record to Report (RTR) function in a Global or Shared Finance Service Centre.
  • Alignment with core ITV behaviors: Inspire Performance, Empowering with accountability, Welcoming new perspectives, Spend wisely & save widely, and Make fast informed decisions.

Potential Challenges

  • Flexibility in working hours is required to meet key project deliverables and critical reporting cycles, such as month-end and year-end closes.

  • Supporting across other RTR pillars during periods of absence or when ad-hoc management support is needed.

Please note, on occasion we may receive a very large volume of applications which means applications for a role may close earlier than the referenced closing date. We’d encourage you to apply as soon as possible if interested.
