Ruby Developer - Remote

About the role

The Ruby Developer is a key member of our Tech team, responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing our data integration platform and suite of products. This role blends strong software engineering skills with a deep understanding of data processing, requiring collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that meet customer and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core products and data integration pipelines, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability
• Work on both new feature development and ongoing platform improvements, including data-integration optimization
• Lead the engineering aspects of customer onboarding, ensuring seamless integration of customer data from various systems
• Collaborate closely with product, sales, and success teams to build solutions that meet customer-specific requirements
• Implement quality control measures and monitoring tools to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of data flowing through the platform
• Continuously identify opportunities for improvement in data handling and system performance
• Work closely with product, success, and sales teams within cross-functional agile teams to deliver sprint goals
• Explore and recommend new technologies and methodologies that can enhance products and improve efficiency
• Deliver well-documented, testable, and maintainable code across various projects
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication across teams

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Solid programming background with experience or willingness to learn in languages and tools such as Ruby, Python, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Git, AWS, etc.
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Strong communication skills, capable of effectively articulating complex ideas to both technical and non-technical team members
