- Industrial equipment operator (e.g., construction, paving, milling) with practical experience running and troubleshooting mobile machinery.
- Candidates with experience on specialized mobile systems (e.g., marine/aquarium pumps and filtration equipment, large HVAC or industrial pumping systems) are desirable for their controls and fluid‑handling knowledge.
Technical knowledge and hands‑on experience (required/preferred)
- Proven experience with complex hydraulic systems: pumps, valves, motors, hoses, seals, and routine troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with electrical and electronic control systems, including wiring, sensors, PLCs, and diagnostic tools.
- Experience working with sensors and control feedback systems (position sensors, pressure switches, encoders, etc.).
- Competence in maintaining and troubleshooting cutting systems, tooling, and specialized heads; ability to perform adjustments, alignments, and replacement of wear components.

- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy mobile equipment safely and follow lockout/tagout, confined‑space, and other relevant safety protocols.
- Experience performing routine inspection, maintenance logs, and documentation for compliance with contract and DOT standards.
- Preferred: certifications or training in diesel mechanics, hydraulics, electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, or heavy equipment operation.
Soft skills and operational expectations
