RV Service Technician

Duties

• Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on RV electrical, plumbing, HVAC, suspension, brakes, transmissions, and engine systems to identify issues accurately.
• Repair and maintain RV electrical systems, including troubleshooting wiring problems and replacing faulty components using hand tools and power tools.
• Conduct mechanical repairs such as oil changes, shocks & struts replacements, tire services, alignment adjustments, and suspension work to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
• Diagnose and repair RV plumbing systems, including water lines, tanks, pumps, and fixtures to guarantee proper operation.
• Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to troubleshoot diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and auto body components for efficient repairs.
• Assist with assembly or disassembly of RV components during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician in an automotive dealership or similar environment with a focus on RVs preferred.
• Strong electrical repair skills with experience in RV electrical system diagnostics and automotive electrical systems.
• Mechanical knowledge covering engine repair, transmission work, brake repair, suspension systems, HVAC maintenance, and heavy lifting techniques.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and basic vehicle troubleshooting procedures.
• Ability to perform plumbing system maintenance and repairs within an RV context.
• Dealership experience or prior auto body repair background is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Valid mechanical certification or relevant automotive technician training is advantageous.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 60.0 per week

Work Location: In person
