Functional Position:

Piping Smart 3D Administrator

(A) Job Description

Working as part of a team led by the Lead/Area Lead and undertaking the following tasks for Oil & Gas and Chemical projects:

1. In-depth working knowledge of Smart 3D software, including:

• Creation of customer-specific catalogs with customized reference data.
• Piping specification customization.
• Equipment, Instrumentation, Structural, and Electrical module customization.
• Setup and management of new and existing engineering projects in a standalone Smart 3D environment.
• WBS configuration.

1. Experience in Global Workshare setup and configuration in Smart 3D.
2. Experience in Isometric and GA setup, configuration, and customization .
3. Expertise in report template customization in Smart 3D using COM and SQL.
4. Knowledge of symbol customization in Smart 3D using the .NET platform.
5. Setup and management of a complete integrated engineering environment.
6. Ability to write and execute SQL/Oracle queries in Smart 3D.
7. Knowledge of Smart 3D upgrades and migrations .
8. Experience in PDS model conversion to Smart 3D .
9. Providing user support to project teams as required.
10. Managing and creating reporting options throughout the project lifecycle.
11. Experience working on live projects with integrated environments involving SPF, Smart 3D, SP P&ID, SPI, and SPEL will be an added advantage.
12. Troubleshooting SQL/Oracle database and software issues . Automation experience will be an added advantage.

(B) Qualifications / Experience

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a reputed institute.
2. Minimum 10-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas and Chemical projects.
3. Good understanding and knowledge of:
4. a. Piping Material Specifications, Valve Material Specifications, and related considerations.
5. b. Piping engineering input drawings such as P&IDs, Equipment Drawings, Plot Plans, and Civil Drawings .
6. c. Pipe Support Standards.
7. d. End-user training and customization as per project requirements.
8. e. Performing routine checks and validations through various reports.

(C) Software Exposure

1. Smart 3D Administration, Smart Review, and SPIOP.
2. Knowledge of SQL queries for report template customization and other Smart 3D-related activities.
3. Knowledge of Navisworks Manage and AutoCAD.
4. Knowledge of E3D Administration will be an added advantage.

(D) Experience

10-15 years of experience in Smart 3D Administration for Oil & Gas and/or Chemical projects.
