VACANCY: SACPCMP REGISTERED SAFETY OFFICER -6 - 12 Month Contract

We are urgently seeking a qualified and experienced SACPCMP Registered Safety Officer who is willing and available to work on-site in Skaapvlei.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer (CHSO) – NON-NEGOTIABLE.
• Relevant Health and Safety qualification.
• Previous experience as a Safety Officer on construction or project sites.
• Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Regulations.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, safety inspections and incident investigations.
• Strong communication, reporting and administrative skills.
• Must be willing and able to work on-site in Skaapvlei.
• Ability to work independently and enforce safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety legislation.
• Maintain safety files, registers and compliance documentation.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions and risk assessments.
• Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective action.
• Monitor contractors and employees to ensure compliance with site safety procedures.
• Prepare safety reports and liaise with site management.
