S.A.D.D Advisor

Position Description

Richmond High School is seeking an advisor for the S.A.D.D.student organization. The S.A.D.D. Advisor will work with students to promote safe, healthy, and responsible decision-making and to encourage positive choices within the school and community.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the advisor and adult liaison for the S.A.D.D. student organization.
• Assist students in planning and conducting meetings, activities, and school/community events.
• Encourage student leadership, participation, and responsibility.
• Support educational and prevention-focused activities addressing issues such as impaired or distracted driving, substance use, and other destructive decisions.
• Coordinate with school staff, community organizations, and other appropriate partners when needed.
• Supervise students during S.A.D.D. activities and events.
• Maintain appropriate records and communication related to the organization.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must meet district requirements for extracurricular advisors.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with high school students.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to promoting student safety, positive decision-making, and leadership.
• Previous experience advising student organizations or extracurricular activities is preferred.
