What they need

Jasper Group is seeking a hands on, proactive Safety and Environmental Coordinator for our Orleans manufacturing facility. This is a highly visible role for a self starter who takes ownership, builds buy in, and follows through to get results.

The Orleans facility employs approximately 500 people across wood machining, assembly, finishing, upholstery, metal, and shipping. The coordinator will be the day-to-day safety and environmental resource for the plant, supported by the Safety and People Support Manager and Director of Culture and People.

What You Will Do

  • Own required safety and environmental training for new hires and current employees, including scheduling, delivery, documentation, and follow up.

  • Conduct floor inspections, identify hazards, and work with leaders to complete corrective actions.

  • Support incident and near miss investigations, injury prevention, OSHA compliance, safety committee follow up, SDS and chemical management, and environmental requirements.

  • Create practical safety talks and coach employees and leaders to strengthen safe work practices.

What We Are Looking For

  • One to three years of manufacturing, safety, environmental, maintenance, quality, or related experience; manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.

  • Associate degree in occupational safety, environmental health, manufacturing, or a related field preferred, but not required.

  • Working knowledge of hazard recognition, machine guarding, lockout tagout, PPE, forklift safety, chemical and SDS management, and incident investigation.

  • OSHA 10 Hour General Industry and First Aid CPR certification preferred; willingness to obtain required certifications is expected.

  • An organized, engaging communicator who is comfortable on the floor, able to motivate others, and persistent about completing the work.

Come build your future and be part of helping create the most incredible spaces in the country, wherever work and life happen.
