Safety and Flight Operations Administrator

We are seeking the right person to fit the dynamic team, based at Oamaru Airport at our training centre. This is a full-time fixed term contract starting immediately and ending on 31st January 2027. You’ll work closely alongside the management team and pilot instructors as well as providing administrative support for the students on a day-to-day basis. An interest in aviation is desirable but not essential.

About the Role

• Health and safety representative for the company
• Company representative for external clients
• Occurrence investigation of non-technical minor incidents
• Conduct health and safety based monthly audits
• Flight operations administration, involving instructor and student personnel files management
• Organising meetings and minute taking
• Procurement of administrative and office supplies
• Student exam bookings and progression tracking
• Staff and student inductions to the company
• Ensure compliance of related regulatory requirements
• All other admin tasks as required by the company

About You

• Self-motivated and can work independently without supervision
• Have an interest in health and safety and work and wellbeing
• Comfortable working with different cultures, personalities and age groups
• Leadership skills
• Attention to detail as required by the aviation sector
• Competency working in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Able to time manage and prioritise projects and tasks
• Must possess New Zealand citizenship or residency
