Safety & Security Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Safety & Security Manager to join Swiss-Grand Beach Resort Kuantan in Kuantan, Pahang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety, security and wellbeing of our guests, staff and assets. As Safety & Security Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive security protocols, managing our security team, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and security regulations. This position is integral to our commitment to providing a secure and welcoming environment for everyone who visits or works at our property.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures and protocols tailored to hotel operations
• Oversee daily security operations and manage the security team, including recruitment, training, scheduling and performance management
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats and implement preventative measures
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and preparing detailed incident reports
• Manage CCTV systems, access control systems and other security technology to ensure optimal functionality
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
• Implement and oversee health and safety protocols, including fire safety, emergency evacuation procedures and first aid
• Conduct regular security briefings and training sessions for staff across all departments
• Ensure compliance with relevant Malaysian legislation, local regulations and hospitality industry standards
• Maintain detailed security records and produce regular reports for senior management
• Conduct background checks and security vetting for new staff members
• Liaise with guests and staff to address security concerns and provide support during emergency situations

Job Type: Full-time
