Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a motivated Safety Coordinator to support and continuously improve our safety and environmental programs. This position will work closely with employees and management to identify hazards, improve workplace conditions, support regulatory compliance, and strengthen our safety culture.

Pay:

• $27-$36 an hour

Responsibilities:

• Support compliance with OSHA, environmental, and other applicable health and safety regulations.
• Develop, maintain, and improve company safety policies, programs and procedures.
• Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments of processes and equipment.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement and track corrective actions.
• Conduct new-hire orientation, safety meetings, and employee training.
• Use safety data and trends to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate contractor and vendor safety requirements.
• Oversee the return-to-work program and assist with emergency preparedness and regulatory inspections.
• Partner with employees and management to promote a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable of OSHA and environmental regulatory requirements.
• Experience in manufacturing, food processing, warehousing, or another industrial environment preferred.
• Familiarity with programs such as lockout/tagout, machine guarding, powered industrial trucks, hazardous chemicals and PPE preferred.
• Strong communication, training, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Primarily Monday-Friday, daytime hours, with occasional nights, weekends and after-hours response as needed.
• Starting pay: $27-$36 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
