Safety Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to champion our safety initiatives across all operations. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and monitor safety programs that promote a secure working environment for all employees. Your proactive approach will ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of continuous safety improvement.

Responsibilities, include but are not limited to

• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and Workers' Compensation Law standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and root cause analysis to identify potential risks and prevent incidents.
• Lead safety training sessions and development programs to enhance employee awareness of occupational health practices
• Maintain accurate safety records, prepare detailed report writing on incidents or safety audits, and ensure documentation complies with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate emergency response efforts and serve as the point of contact for OSHA inspections or investigations.
• Promote a safety-first culture by engaging employees in safety initiatives and encouraging proactive reporting of hazards or concerns.
• Stay current on industry regulations related to EHS (Environmental Health & Safety), Workers' Compensation Law, EPA guidelines, and OSHA standards to ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles.
• Certifications in OSHA safety standards, and EPA regulations are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Workers' Compensation Law and experience in report writing related to safety incidents.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively to identify underlying issues behind incidents or hazards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver engaging training & development sessions.
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining detailed records and preparing comprehensive reports.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Individual must possess a high school diploma or GED.
