Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project scheduling tools to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
• Manage project teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff, fostering clear communication and collaboration across all phases of construction.
• Oversee construction plans, blueprints, and technical documents to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project costs through detailed cost management practices using HeavyBid or equivalent construction estimating software.
• Ensure construction site safety and regulatory compliance by adhering to all applicable codes and standards.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress, risks, and issues; communicate updates effectively to stakeholders.
• Manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes using ProCore or Prolog to maintain transparency and accountability.
• Facilitate construction schedule coordination across multiple teams to meet critical deadlines while managing project scope changes efficiently.
• Implement best practices in construction management software for document control, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting purposes.

Experience

• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or commercial construction projects with a focus on civil or heavy civil works.
• Extensive knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings such as Civil 3D files.
• Strong background in managing project budgets, schedules, and resources using Primavera P6 or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with construction site operations including safety protocols, quality control inspections, and site logistics planning.
• Skilled in managing teams within a fast-paced construction management environment with excellent time management skills.
• Familiarity with contracts administration, change management processes, and legal aspects of construction projects.
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes is essential.
