NCI services a diverse group of markets including federal, state, and local governments, as well as a variety of corporate and special industry organizations that require complex life safety and critical infrastructure needs.
The Safety Coordinator is an entry-level role and NCI's safety presence in the field. Working primarily on active job sites, the Coordinator audits work, coaches crews and field leaders, covers high-risk activities, and responds quickly to incidents and safety concerns. The role supports NCI's data center, general contracting and elevator work, where growth in self-perform work and crew size has increased exposure and the need for hands-on safety leadership.

Coaching: coach crews, foremen and field leadership, with extra attention to new foremen, new hires and larger or less experienced crews.
Preconstruction and pre-op meetings: attend pre-cons and safety pre-op meetings and help crews plan work safely before it starts.
High-risk activities: be on site for crane picks, trenching and excavation, confined space entries, scaffolding and other high-risk work.
Incident response: respond quickly to incidents and safety concerns; support investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Performance evaluation**:** assess the safety performance of project teams, field leadership and subcontractors, and report findings.
Client engagement: represent NCI at client and owner safety meetings and weekly project meetings with major general contractors and owners.
Training support**:** assist with toolbox talks, new hire orientation and field training as needed.
Culture: promote a strong, proactive safety culture through daily engagement with the field.
Majority of time spent outdoors on active construction sites in varying weather.
Daily driving between job sites across the assigned territory; occasional overnight travel.
Occasional early, late or weekend work to cover crane picks, critical activities and incident response
Other duties as assigned.
