Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Safety Engineer to ensure a safe working environment at construction/project sites. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures at project sites.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, regulations, and company standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs for workers.
• Monitor the proper use of PPE and other safety equipment.
• Prepare and maintain safety reports, inspection records, and documentation.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases and prepare reports.
• Identify risks and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, supervisors, and workers regarding safety requirements.
• Monitor work permits and ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Conduct emergency preparedness and safety drills as required.
• Ensure housekeeping and safe working conditions at the project site.
• Assist in implementing emergency response and fire safety procedures.
• Report safety violations and follow up on corrective actions.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of construction site safety practices.
• Knowledge of PPE, Risk Assessment, Safety Audits, Toolbox Talks, and Permit to Work.
• Knowledge of fire safety and emergency procedures.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare safety reports and maintain documentation.
• Ability to work effectively with site teams, contractors, and workers.

Eligibility

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Safety Engineering, Civil Engineering, or relevant field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in construction/project site safety.
• Candidates with NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA certification will be preferred.
• Experience in the Real Estate / Construction industry will be an advantage.
