Safety Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and company policies
• Monitor workplace activities to identify safety risks and recommend corrective actions
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
• Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance reports
• Develop, implement, and update safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans
• Promote a proactive safety culture across the organization
• Conduct safety orientations for new hires, contractors, and visitors
• Organize and facilitate safety training, toolbox meetings, and emergency drills
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
• Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend preventive and corrective actions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety management
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, local labor laws, and safety regulations
• Proficient in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety auditing
• Licensed Engineer is preferred
• Safety Officer certification (SO2/SO3/SO4) is an advantage
