Safety Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Implement and monitor health and safety policies at construction sites.

• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards.

• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, standards, and company policies.

• Conduct toolbox talks, safety training, and awareness sessions for workers and staff.

• Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure adherence to safety procedures.

• Identify unsafe practices and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports.

• Maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, and statutory records.

• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and site supervisors to address safety concerns.

• Monitor work-at-height safety, scaffolding, excavation, lifting operations, and other construction activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidates with prior experience in high-rise residential or commercial construction projects will be preferred.

• Practical knowledge of site safety inspections, PPE compliance, and incident reporting is desirable.
