Safety Engineer / Coordinator

• Support the implementation and administration of EHS / ESH policies, procedures and programmes.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore WSH regulations, environmental requirements and company safety standards.
• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, safety audits and compliance checks.
• Assist in incident investigation, near-miss reporting and corrective / preventive action follow-up.
• Support Safety Management System, emergency response planning and fire safety related activities.
• Maintain EHS documentation, records, permits, reports and audit-related documents.
• Coordinate EHS training, safety awareness programmes and site safety initiatives.
• Support environmental monitoring activities such as waste management, data collection and sustainability reporting.
• Work with internal departments, contractors and external parties to promote safe work practices.
• Assist in internal / external audits and continuous improvement of EHS performance.

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant EHS / ESH / WSH experience is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, EHS or Safety background may be considered.
• Experience in manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical or industrial environment will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations, risk assessment, incident investigation and environmental compliance is preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, SS 651, Process Safety Management or Safety Case will be an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work independently as well as in a team.
