Safety Head (Safety Practitioner)

About the role

Net Pacific, Inc. is seeking an experienced Safety Head (Safety Practitioner) to join our organisation on a full-time basis. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing comprehensive health, safety and environmental programmes across all our construction operations. Based in Taguig City, Metro Manila, this role is crucial to ensuring our organisation maintains the highest standards of workplace safety, regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship. As Safety Head, you will be instrumental in fostering a strong safety culture throughout the company and protecting the wellbeing of all our employees and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and guidelines aligned with local and international standards
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and hazard assessments to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Lead incident investigation processes, document findings and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Provide strategic oversight of safety training programmes, toolbox talks and awareness campaigns for all employees across construction sites
• Manage workplace emergency preparedness, including emergency response plans and evacuation procedures
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors and site teams to integrate safety requirements into construction activities and planning
• Monitor and report on key safety performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular safety reports for senior management
• Ensure compliance with local Philippine labour laws, occupational safety and health standards, and environmental regulations
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies, clients and third-party safety consultants as required
• Lead the development of safety improvement initiatives and best practice recommendations

What we're looking for

• Recognised qualification in Health, Safety and Environmental Management (such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent recognised certification)
• Minimum 5–10 years of progressive experience in health and safety management, with substantial experience in the construction industry
• Demonstrated expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment and implementation of control measures
• Strong knowledge of Philippine occupational safety and health regulations and local construction industry standards
• Proven track record in developing and delivering effective safety training and awareness programmes
• Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels
• Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to influence and embed a positive safety culture
• Proficiency in using safety management systems, incident reporting software and MS Office applications
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to conduct regular site visits
• Preferred experience with international safety management systems (ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001)
