Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's safety programs across projects and locations within the Southeast region.
  • Conduct regular jobsite inspections, audits, and observations to identify hazards, verify compliance, and drive corrective actions.

  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), lift plans, and other project safety documentation to ensure appropriate controls are in place.
  • Conduct and facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, orientation sessions, and specialized safety training for employees and subcontractors.
  • Partner with field leadership to ensure high-risk work activities—including energized electrical work, lockout/tagout, fall protection, confined space entry, excavation, crane and rigging operations, and mobile equipment activities—are properly planned and executed.
  • Participate in customer meetings, safety audits, owner inspections, and regulatory inspections while representing the company in a professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, investigations, corrective actions, training records, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Monitor subcontractor safety performance and ensure subcontractors meet contractual and company safety expectations.
  • Assist with workers' compensation case management, return-to-work efforts, and coordination with insurance carriers and third-party administrators, as needed.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Training, and Operations to develop safety training programs, onboarding content, and ongoing competency development.
  • Support emergency response planning, crisis management activities, and business continuity efforts.
  • Stay current on changes to OSHA regulations, industry best practices, customer requirements, and emerging safety technologies.
  • Travel regularly to project sites throughout Georgia and other locations as business needs require.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of related experience.
  • Experience supporting projects involving energized electrical work, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, fall protection, crane operations, and other high-risk construction activities is required.
  • Mission critical or data center construction, and critical infrastructure experience a plus.
  • B.S. degree in an Environmental, Health or Safety discipline, preferred but not required.
  • CPR/First Aid certified. Other certifications: ASP, OSHA 10 or 30 hour, etc. are preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet navigation.
