Safety Manager

Job Summary

• Manage and maintain DOT and FMCSA compliance
• Monitor driver safety performance, CSA scores, inspections, violations, and accidents
• Review and maintain driver qualification files (DQF)
• Conduct and track driver safety training and compliance
• Handle DOT audits and compliance reviews
• Manage DataQs submissions, challenges, and follow-ups
• Handle accident and insurance claims, including documentation and communication with insurance companies
• Review accident reports and assist with accident investigations
• Monitor and maintain IRP records and requirements
• Prepare and manage IFTA reports, mileage records, and fuel documentation
• Monitor vehicle inspections, annual inspections, maintenance-related compliance, and roadside inspection reports
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, state, and local regulations
• Maintain accurate safety and compliance records
• Communicate with drivers regarding violations, inspections, safety issues, and corrective actions
• Prepare the company for DOT audits and inspections

Duties

• Previous experience as a Safety Manager in the trucking industry
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations
• Must have hands-on experience with:
• IRP
• IFTA reporting
• DataQs
• Claims and accident management
• CSA / SMS
• Driver Qualification Files
• DOT/FMCSA compliance
• Strong computer and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with drivers, insurance companies, government agencies, and management
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple compliance matters at the same time
• Trucking industry experience is required

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
