Safety Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Manager to oversee and implement safety protocols across our organization. The Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and fostering a culture of safety awareness among employees. This role involves proactive hazard identification, safety training, and maintaining a safe work environment to prevent accidents and injuries.

Duties

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies in accordance with OSHA regulations, EHS standards, and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, especially related to excavation safety and other high-risk activities.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA 510 training requirements and other relevant certifications.
• Coordinate and facilitate safety training sessions such as CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Excavation Safety courses for employees.
• Maintain accurate records of safety training, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Investigate workplace accidents or incidents thoroughly to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness through ongoing communication, training, and leadership.
• Stay current with updates in OSHA standards, EHS regulations, and industry best practices to ensure organizational compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in safety management within a construction or industrial environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, including OSHA 510 certification or equivalent.
• Certifications in CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Excavation Safety are highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EHS programs and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and promote safety initiatives.
• Ability to conduct thorough safety inspections and incident investigations.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping and reporting.

Pay: From $61,900.00 per year
