Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting & Leadership: Reports directly to the Operations Director and leads a team to ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance, with a strong focus on Truck Drivers and Helpers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Graduate of any 4-year degree course.
• Experience: At least 10 years of Health & Safety experience, preferably within manufacturing, logistics, or construction.
• Key Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication, and presentation skills
• Safety & Health Programs: Develops, implements, and monitors site-wide health and safety protocols (including garage/yard operations) and manages daily activities like safety inspections, permits, and incident reporting.
• Training & Road Safety: Conducts training for drivers, marshalls, and operations staff, specializing in defensive driving, road safety, and route assessments.
• Yard Operations & Security: Oversees yard security (protecting personnel, equipment, and property) and manages truck washing and cleanliness standards.
• Enforcement & Disciplinary Support: Partners with the Driver Management Team to enforce company rules, safety protocols, and disciplinary actions.
• Client & Public Relations: Maintains strong client relationships, addresses operational concerns, and handles PR activities as required.
• Additional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Operations Director.
