Safety Officer 2

Position Summary:

The Safety Officer 2 is responsible for implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. This role involves conducting safety audits, training employees, and monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs and initiatives to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and assess compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide training and resources to employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and hazard recognition.
• Monitor and maintain safety records, documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with management and employees to promote safety awareness and encourage safe work practices.
• Stay updated on relevant safety regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
• Participate in safety meetings and assist in the development of safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are preferred.
• Proven experience in a safety officer role, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence others.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer.
• Capability to lift and carry moderate weights (up to 25 lbs) as needed.
• Willingness to conduct site inspections and work in various environments.

Pay: Php19,000.00 - Php21,000.00 per month
