Safety Officer 3 (SO3)

About the role

TGServices, Inc. is seeking a Safety Officer 3 (SO3) to join our Health, Safety & Environment team. This is a full-time position based in Batangas City, Batangas. As Safety Officer 3, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and enforcing comprehensive health, safety and environmental programmes across our construction operations. This role is strategically important to our organisation, as it directly contributes to safeguarding our workforce, maintaining regulatory compliance and upholding our commitment to operational excellence and zero-harm principles.

Job Description:

• Develop, implement and maintain health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and protocols across construction sites and operations
• Conduct comprehensive site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions
• Deliver health and safety training programmes to employees at all levels, ensuring awareness and competency in safety standards
• Monitor and report on key safety performance metrics, including incident rates, hazard reports and audit findings
• Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations and industry standards
• Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers and contractors to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement
• Maintain comprehensive safety documentation, records and audit trails as required for regulatory and internal requirements
• Liaise with external agencies, including regulatory bodies and emergency services, on safety-related matters
• Support senior management in the development and execution of strategic health, safety and environmental initiatives

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred (such as engineering, nursing, environmental science, or related fields).
• 40-hour Basic OSH (BOSH) or Construction Safety and Health (COSH) training course applicable to the specific industry from a DOLE-Accredited Safety Training Organization (STO).
• Minimum 2-5 years of progressive experience in health, safety and environmental roles within the construction industry
• Proficiency in safety management systems and data analysis software
• Experience in building and maintaining a positive safety culture within team environments
