Role Description The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Turkey, NC, responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe working environment across all company operations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting regular safety inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and occupational regulations. The Safety Officer will investigate accidents and incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions. This role also involves developing and delivering safety training programs, collaborating with management and staff on risk reduction initiatives, and supporting security-related procedures to protect people and property. The Safety Officer will maintain accurate safety records, prepare reports, and participate in continuous improvement efforts related to workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health practices and regulations.
• Experience with Accident Investigation, including root-cause analysis and incident reporting.
• Familiarity with Security procedures and protocols in a workplace setting.
• Ability to design and deliver effective Safety Training for diverse employee groups.
• Relevant certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., OSHA or equivalent) is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
• Prior experience in a safety-related role within industrial, manufacturing, or similar environments is beneficial.
