About the role

Provides safety management and occupational health support across company operations and project sites by helping ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Supports the promotion of a safe and healthy work environment through site inspections, risk monitoring, incident reporting, safety coordination, and implementation of safety programs aligned with the company's operational and project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and monitoring of company safety policies, rules, programs, and procedures across offices, facilities, and project sites
• Conduct regular safety inspections of work areas, project sites, equipment, tools, and work activities to identify unsafe conditions and unsafe acts
• Monitor compliance with required safety permits, clearances, work controls, and site safety requirements prior to and during project execution
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to address identified hazards, risks, and non-compliance findings
• Assist in the investigation, documentation, and reporting of accidents, incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions
• Prepare incident reports, inspection findings, safety observations, and monitoring updates for management review
• Track implementation of corrective and preventive actions arising from incidents, inspections, and safety audits
• Support compliance with applicable occupational safety and health regulations and reportorial requirements to concerned government agencies and regulatory bodies
• Coordinate with internal departments, project teams, contractors, and external stakeholders on safety-related requirements and concerns
• Assist in conducting safety orientations, toolbox meetings, briefings, and awareness activities for employees, contractors, and site personnel

Qualifications

• Graduate of Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Safety Engineering, or any related field
• At least three (3) years of relevant professional experience in safety, occupational health and safety, construction safety, project safety, or related work
• Valid Safety Officer 2 (SO2) certification
• Strong documentation, coordination, and inspection skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Able to work on-site and coordinate with different project and operational teams as needed
• Licensed engineer is preferred; for Electrical Engineering graduates, Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) is an advantage
• Experience in the solar, energy, construction, engineering, or infrastructure industry is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations, site safety practices, and incident reporting requirements is an advantage
• Higher safety certification is an advantage
