What they need

Job Location: Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort

Anantara Hotels & Resorts is a global luxury hotel and resort brand rooted in Thai culture, with an intrinsic sense of authentic hospitality. Inspired by the Sanskrit word meaning ‘without end’, our spirit embodies freedom, movement, and harmony. We believe every journey should leave a lasting impression — for our guests and for our people.

Founded in 2001 in Thailand, we have since expanded across the world, welcoming guests in some of the world’s most captivating locales — from pristine beaches and private islands to ancient sites and vibrant metropolises. If you are driven by a passion for generosity, warmth and heartfelt hospitality, Anantara offers a career without limits.

Responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all team members, guests, contractors, and visitors. The Safety Officer ensures compliance with applicable occupational safety and health requirements, identifies workplace risks, and supports the hotel in implementing effective safety and emergency prevention measures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular safety inspections across hotel areas, back-of-house facilities, staff accommodation, and operational areas.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct risk assessments for workplace activities and support departments in implementing risk control measures.
  • Monitor compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable occupational safety and health regulations.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare relevant reports and recommendations.
  • Coordinate and support emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency response procedures.
  • Coordinate safety training and awareness programs for team members, including fire safety, emergency response, PPE, chemical handling, and workplace safety.
  • Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
  • Maintain safety records, inspection reports, accident/incident reports, training records, and other required documentation.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Security, HR, Operations, and department leaders to identify and resolve safety concerns.
  • Support contractor and external service provider safety requirements when working on hotel premises.
  • Participate in safety committee meetings and follow up on agreed safety improvement actions.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and encourage team members to report hazards, unsafe practices, and near misses.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certified or qualified as a Safety Officer in accordance with applicable Thai regulations.
  • Previous experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in a hotel, resort, hospitality, or service environment.
  • Good knowledge of workplace safety, risk assessment, emergency preparedness, and accident prevention.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to conduct safety inspections, prepare reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Good command of English is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic reporting/documentation.
