Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure site safety rules, HSE procedures and statutory requirements are followed.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Identify hazards and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions and training for workers and staff.
• Ensure proper PPE usage and compliance at site.
• Monitor work-at-height, scaffolding, excavation, lifting and electrical safety.
• Manage Permit to Work (PTW) and ensure safe work practices.
• Report and investigate incidents, near misses and accidents.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports and statutory documents.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and workers to maintain a safe working

Preferred candidate profile

• 5-10 years of relevant experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards, risk assessment and site safety procedures.
• Experience in safety inspections, toolbox talks, PPE compliance and incident reporting.
• Good knowledge of work-at-height, scaffolding, excavation, lifting and fire safety.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
