About the role
Construction Safety Officer responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the project's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor the project's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the construction site, equipment, tools, and work areas
- Identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, construction safety standards, and applicable regulations
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety orientations for workers and site personnel
- Monitor workers' proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-miss occurrences and prepare corresponding reports
- Implement emergency preparedness and response procedures on the construction site
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend control measures for identified hazards
- Monitor high-risk activities such as working at heights, excavation, lifting operations, electrical work, and confined-space activities
